On this and every Veteran's Day, I salute the life of my father, Elwood Wilson Thornton--a pilot and officer in the United States Air Force and a veteran of the Second World War. While his physical presences is no longer with us, his example of hard work and honesty will forever be my role model.
And to all of our veterans who have bravely put themselves in harm's way for our nation, please accept this heart felt note of gratitude for your service.
