Congress is trying to push legislation to reduce Short Sale responses from a bank to 75 days with just one 21 day extension allowed. Wow. 96 days! And that would be an improvement. Of course, that is just to get a response on the offer from the bank, not to close the deal. When the typical short sale takes from 4-9 months...I guess 3 months to get a response from the bank would help. Of course, that answer can still be "not interested" or "here is your counter offer". What then? Can congress really regulate bank behavior effectively?

Even real estate schools change in their rankings as students shift from school to school and quality of education changes from school year to school year.

I think there should be really a standard set to every school, and that a very good clarification about such standards will have to be done as well.
